Prepping a shoot
Break your script into its elements, build a schedule, and generate the paperwork your crew needs — all in one place.
Budgeting fast
Generate a realistic budget from a target amount, then refine it, instead of building a spreadsheet from zero.
Running shoot days
Create and share call sheets with an editable schedule so everyone knows where to be and when.
Keeping a project organized
Track cast, crew, scenes, and documents per project so nothing slips.
02 Manual — step by step
1 Create a project
- From the dashboard, create a new project and name it.
- Add basic details like type and status.
- Your project becomes the home for its breakdown, budget, call sheets, and people.
Tip: Everything you build lives under the project, so it stays organized.
2 Break down your script with AI
- Open your project and go to the breakdown tools.
- Import or add your script.
- Let the AI pull out each scene’s elements — cast, props, locations, and more.
- Review and adjust the breakdown to match your production.
Tip: The breakdown feeds your planning and budgeting.
3 Generate a budget
- In your project, open Budget and click Generate.
- Enter your total target amount and choose a production tier.
- The AI distributes it across categories realistically.
- Edit any line to fit your production.
Tip: Paid plans can export the finished budget.
4 Build and share a call sheet
- Open Call Sheets and create a new one.
- Set the crew call time — the rest of the schedule keys off it.
- Adjust the schedule rows (first shot, lunch, wrap) directly.
- Add cast and crew, then save and share the link with your team.
Tip: Crew call time is the anchor — set it and the schedule follows.
5 Track cast and crew
- In your project, open the cast and crew sections.
- Add people with their roles and contact details.
- Reuse them across call sheets and other tools.
Tip: On a paid plan you can also post roles and jobs to Selection Board.
