01 When to use it
Agreeing on splits up front
Define exactly who gets what percentage before the money comes in, so there are no arguments later.
Tracking the money
Log expenses and revenue so payouts are based on real profit, not guesswork.
Paying collaborators
Send each participant their share via Stripe or PayPal, with a clear record.
Reporting
Produce financial reports you can share with your team or investors.
02 Manual — step by step
1 Create a project
- Create a project for the production you’re splitting revenue on.
- Give it a name and basic details.
Tip: Each project tracks its own participants, money, and payouts.
2 Add participants and set shares
- Add each collaborator by email.
- Give each one a role and a revenue-share percentage — for example a Lead at 10% or a Co-Producer at 50%.
- They receive an invite link and accept their role and split.
Tip: Participation schedules show every participant’s share in one place.
3 Log expenses
- Open the project and add expenses as they occur.
- Payouts are then calculated on actual profit — revenue minus costs.
Tip: Tracking expenses keeps the splits honest.
4 Track revenue
- Record revenue as it comes in.
- Profit Share applies each participant’s percentage to the distributable profit.
- See exactly what each person is owed.
Tip: The math is done for you as money moves.
5 Pay collaborators
- Open Payouts for the project.
- Send each participant their share via Stripe or PayPal.
- Each payout is tracked, and financial reports show the full picture.
Tip: You have a clear record of who’s been paid and when.
